Many more beaches are within easy reach by public transport or taxi such as Nuevo Vallarta or Playa de Los Muertos in town. If you hire a car you can find pristine deserted beaches within a short drive north in the state of Nayarit – small coastal towns such as Sayulita, San Pancho or Punta Raza. To the south, tiny fishing villages with paradise beaches such as Yelapa and Quimixto can be reached only by boat. Water taxis leave from the marina or Boca de Tomatlan. The busy marina with over 300 yachts and cruisers is just 100 yards walk away from the villa and is full of excellent restaurants, bars and shops. A large commercial shopping area is also within walking distance with supermarket, banks and other amenities.
